The Problem
As a Junior UX Designer just ready to get my feet in the door, I struggled to find the right mentor and felt left out. It turns out, many junior designers feel the same.
The problem is how to gather all of the senior and junior designers to join the community.
How Changing the User Interface Increase the Reputation and Trust within the Community and New Members
The Goal
Providing an accessible platform for junior designers with weekly multiple design challenges, portfolio reviews, and whiteboard challenges.
And senior designers can give feedback. This experience also will help them improve better.
The Solution
The goal is to empower new UX/UI By creating UI Challenges, Whiteboard Sessions, and Portfolio Review, we hope that we can support and guide junior designers so they are ready for their first job as UX designers.
And for the Senior Designer, can give feedback and guidance to the junior designers.
The User Problems
Before redesigning a website, we need to understand what the users want.
In this case, we were given the context of what the users wanted. We decided to focus on how to make students proactive and conquer the imposter syndrome.

Structure
While we have ideas on how the website will be looked like, we still need structure as we need bone to support our body. Site map we called it. This site map was given as our context for this design marathon to help us focus on the main ideas.
The Result
The designing part was fascinating as we learned other skillsets we had never known of. Here are the designs we submitted to IterateUX which got us 2nd place.

-
- Designing B2B is a complex process and needs more than 1 persona to understand the users. To get 2 different personas on one page, it needs more understanding of what the page will look like. We are lucky enough to gather a lot of information and inspiration from different sources.
- Being open, and willing to learn such as learning shortcuts and time commitment has let us win 2nd place in this design marathon.
-
- As this is only a week's challenge, we were not able to conduct user testing and not able to interact with real users. I wish I can do user testing and user interview to get feedback and thoughts to create a human-centered design.
